How stunning is this couple? Last summer we planned a styled shoot, shot it… then I went off to California and LOST THE USB THAT THE PICTURES WERE ON. I was devastated. Thank God it wasn’t their actual wedding. Anyway, I obviously found them, and I couldn’t be happier.
Mackenzie and I have dreamed and dreamed of running our own businesses. This time last year the dreams were just that, dreams. But since then we’ve both shot weddings, boudoir, families and newborn shoots! Dreams come true people, if your willing to put in the effort 😉
HOW ABSOLUTELY BEAUTIFUL IS THIS VERA WANG GOWN?! Mackenzie makes it look a dream.
Makenzie‘s been working on launching her new website, and I can’t wait till it goes live! So exciting! Im so happy to be sharing these beautiful pictures. So happy I found them.
Lesson learned- Don’t shove USBs just anywhere you please! They’re special. Take care of them. Haha.
Jermaine and Bernadene are the sweetest of the sweetest. I have the pleasure of shooting their wedding this summer and it was just the best day. The entire ceremony had me crying behind my camera. Here’s the sneakest of sneak peeks on of their day.
It’s easy to take pictures when love is so evident. There’s nothing better. Jermaine and Bernadene, Thank you for allowing me to capture such a special time in your lives. The love you guys have for Jesus is evident and your marriage will strive because of it <3
Had the pleasure of taking portraits of this adorable family! Super chill and fun! It was such a beautiful day. Taking pictures is so easy when the people in front of the camera look so darn good!
How cute is this family picture?
This was so much fun! Mike and Katie are so sweet, and their dogs are just the cutest things. Thanks guys for letting me capture your little family. It’s so refreshing to see such sweet love.
I’ve been reading this book called The Element by a man named Ken Robinson. He has a Ph. D. so, everything must be legit. He writes a lot about passion and finding what makes you feel that you are fully in your element. He describes the element to be the meeting point between natural aptitude and personal passion. Wait what? BIG WORDS.. ok not that big, but its a jam packed sentence to take in and process.
Anyway, I don’t want to sit here and write an essay about the book I’ve just read. This is a blog, not an english paper. But! I do want to share what i’ve been thinking about. Im 25, and I think I know when I feel like I’m in my element. I wont share that quit yet, I mean, sheesh! This whole strangers reading my thoughts things is still new to me. We’re not that far into our relationship yet. It will happen though! In time, In time.
I think what I’m trying to get at is that we’re all so STUCK! SNAP OUT OF IT PEOPLE! If you love to sing, then sing! If you love to draw then draw! if you love math, then do math! Ya? We can do it. We’re our own worst enemy.
Im always the first one to tell myself no. So this time I’m just going to say yes. I took these pictures in the summer. Posting these pictures, is a big step. I’m just afraid people with judge me and my amaturish (is that a word? .. it is now) ways. I want to take pictures, and pictures I will take!
I hope that you know when your in your element, and if not, that you take some steps towards finding it, or making it more of a priority in your life.
